We will get the 8 aa of the attB recombination site translated only when we clone the gene downstram to a N-terminal fusion tag or protein. In case we clone the gene in its original form (i.e. without N-terminal fusion tags) we will get no translation of the attB site, since translation will begin after the ribosome binding sites, at the initiating codon ATG.
